Ad Hoc and Standard Reporting
Knowledge Prospector is designed to facilitate ad hoc analysis as well as shared, frequently used and on-screen reporting.  This design allows for shared analysis from a common data source with common metrics, plus the ability to explore the data behind a standard report.  

Saving and Reusing
Fundamental to this capability is the power to create an analysis that combines the data selection and all the various data representations (analysis views) into a single definition file to be saved and shared.  This analysis file contains all the information needed to launch Knowledge Prospector and duplicate the same views as when the file was created.  Sharing these .c3 files provides a common view of information obtained from the common data source. It offers "one view of the truth" rather than the inconsistent results of other techniques, such as using a variety of Excel spreadsheets.

Export
While Knowledge Prospector attempts to provide common presentation capabilities, we recognize that other tools are important in satisfying many users' needs.  Therefore, we have provided the ability to export data selected and analyzed in Knowledge Prospector to other programs and formats.  Specifically, Knowledge Prospector provides export to Excel, PowerPoint, Word, HTML and CSV file formats.
