Analysis and Visualization

Knowledge Prospector provides a variety of data representation and visualization formats:

Data Tables
Tabular representations of data show measure values in cells, with dimension members occupying rows or columns.  Dimensions can be nested in rows or columns.

Graphs and Charts
Line charts, bar charts, stacked bar charts, area charts, pie charts and 3-dimensional bar charts.

Quadrant and Scatter Charts
Multi-measure graphs include 2-dimensional scatter plots, 2-dimensional bubble plots with a third measure represented by bubble size, and a 3-dimensional scatter plots.  Regression curve fitting is provided for 2-dimensional scatter plots.

Formatting and On-Screen Navigation
Most plots and charts allow you to rearrange dimensions and dimension members.  Fonts, colors, and scaling are adjustable in most views.  On-screen drill navigation, automatic/manual scaling, and zoom in/out are generally available.

Exception Coloring
In addition to various chart and graph formats, Knowledge Prospector provides a robust color exception reporting capability.  Conditional coloring allows members and data to be colored according to value and a user-defined threshold.  Color gradients permit values be color-shaded based on minimum and maximum thresholds.
