Rule-based selection gives you the
option of defining your own selection criteria. The Select Members
dialog features a simple-to-use Outlook style rule builder The
Rule-Based Selection provides options to:
- Dynamically select all
children, grandchildren, etc. of a parent.
- Dynamically select all
children, grandchildren, etc. who have certain member properties or
attributes.
- Dynamically select all
children, grandchildren, etc. who have certain measure values.
- Dynamically select all
children, grandchildren, etc. who fit into combinations of the above
approaches.
- Dynamically select all
children, grandchildren, etc. who represent the top/bottom count or
percent of a measure value.
The example below shows the
dialogue for selecting product level members of Pretzels with
a profit of greater than $200.
